
Course Overview
Microsoft Project Server 2010 Implementation and Administration is a four-day hands-on course designed to teach participants how to properly implement, configure and administer Project Server 2010 using both Project Professional 2010 and the Project Web App interface. If understanding the entire installation process interesting you, as well as leveraging PowerShell to assist with a Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2010 upgrade, then you will want to take this course. Loaded with plenty of hands-on exercises, this is the course for the technical candidate. This course includes everything in our Administration and Configuration course, as well as installation and upgrade activities.
Target Audience
This course is designed for individuals who will implement, configure and administer a Microsoft Project Server 2010 environment. The course has been designed to teach the participants both functional, as well as the most technical aspects in order to solidify the understanding of the entire system and project lifecycle.

- Configure the Project Server demand and lifecycle management features and understand how they are used in an overall Portfolio Management process

- Configure time and task tracking settings
- Configure Project Server security using Groups and Categories
- Import enterprise templates and existing projects into Project Server
- Build OLAP Cube and resource availability information
- Create custom views in both Project Web App and Project Professional 2010
- Manage Microsoft SharePoint Server and Project Sites
- Modify Project Web App pages and create new Project Site templates
- Configure Business Intelligence features and build custom Excel-based reports and interactive dashboards
- Manage the Project Server database, including checking in and backing up projects, and cleaning up the Project Server database
- Access to your own individual Project Server 2010 environment to use during class, as well as for another two weeks after the conclusion of training.
- Two weeks of email support after the conclusion of training.
