Client: Large Beverage Distributor
Solution: Project Server 2010 Implementation
This large beverage distributor was an active user of Project Server 2007 (PS2007) project and program management in their IT and PMO IT groups. The customer decided to leverage the new unified Portfolio and Project Management capabilities of Project Server 2010 (PS2010). They especially wanted to leverage the PS2010 Demand Management functions and the powerful dashboard and portfolio reports including the PS2010 Business Intelligence. MPN was selected as their partner to implement PS2010. The client elected not to migrate existing projects, so MPN did a fresh installation and modified the PS2007 configuration to accommodate the new functions to be deployed in PS2010. MPN conducted onsite role-based training for Project Managers, Team Members, Administrators and Executives. MPN developed the initial set of management dashboards and reports which were critical for the go live. This project was successfully delivered in 6 weeks--on time and on budget.

Client: Large Insurance Company
Solution: Migration of Project Server 2007 to Project Server 2010
The IT department of this large insurance company decided to migrate from PS2007 to PS2010 to leverage the powerful new functions of PS2010. The customer decided that the migration would be an “as is” migration so that all PS2007 project, resource and SharePoint content would be upgraded at one time during the PS2010 provisioning process and then the 2007 data would then be upgraded to PS2010. MPN led this engagement including the migration of the extra SharePoint sites associated with PS2007 that the customer had created over time. The migration was done over a weekend to minimize customer downtime. The project was delivered in 6 weeks--on time and on budget.

Client: Large Pharmaceutical Company
Solution: Implementation of Project Server 2010
This large pharmaceutical company had used Primavera as its project management tool to manage several very large projects. They decided that Primavera was not a good fit for them and investigated using PS2010 for program and project management functions for some very complex projects within their Project Controls Office. They sought the guidance of MPN. Through PS2010 demonstrations and discussions, the customer realized that PS2010 would meet their needs. They engaged MPN to do the initial configuration and then MPN continued to mentor and guide them on how to administer and configure the application to meet their requirements. In addition, MPN helped develop some very complex dashboard and reports that were critical to management. Initially only two-three individuals used PS2010. Within six months, PS2010 was deployed across a number of departments to manage very complex, long term projects. MPN continues to support and mentor the customer through MPN ProCare support services.
